How to Practice Mindful Eating

  1. Eat in a settled atmosphere
  2. Never eat when upset or angry
  3. Always sit down to eat
  4. Eat only when hungry
  5. Eat at a moderate pace
  6. Chew your food thoroughly
  7. Don’t talk while chewing your food
  8. Digest one meal before eating the next
  9. Systematically undereat
  10. Leave one-third to one-quarter of your stomach empty
  11. Don’t eat and drink at the same time
  12. Sit quietly for a few minutes after your meal
  13. It is best to eat in silence when possible
